Boy from Black Mountain flew down from a cliff
In a hot-air balloon built by Jonathan Swift
And he hoisted his flag as he landed down onto the dune

He soared over trees with the greatest of ease
Like that daring young man on the flying trapeze
He had no fear of heights and no enemies inside the dream

He'll soon ride his rocket ship off to the moon
And he won't be returning here anytime soon
And he'll wave us goodbye as he launches out into the blue

But today take his hand let him play in the sand
And name all of the beautiful things in the land
And hold on to his dreams before anyone steals them away
